ZIUR contributes to the training of future cybersecurity specialists
ZIUR has taught a class on industrial cybersecurity to the students of the Cybersecurity Degree at the EUNEIZ University of Vitoria-Gasteiz, in which it has presented key aspects of industrial cybersecurity and a review of current cybernetics, as well as a presentation of the job opportunities offered by the field of computer security in order to develop your professional future.
In this sense, the technical director of ZIUR, María Penilla, has shared with them some important concepts of industrial cybersecurity, using real cases of cyber-incidents. Among other things, María Penilla has explained the differences that exist in the cybersecurity management of an IT environment and an OT environment, such as the CID triad (Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability), and has broken down the methodology of a cyber- stroke.
In addition, it has made a summary of the cyber-attacks with the most possibility of success in an Industrial Control System (ICS), and has presented the cybersecurity regulations that are being developed at the European level, such as NIS2, CRA and IEC 62443, and that they will see the light very soon.
At the same time, she made a presentation of the situation of Guipuzcoan industrial companies in terms of cybersecurity, emphasizing the role that the center plays in the Guipuzcoan business fabric, and the professional profiles that the field of cybersecurity offers.
