ZIUR and Goierri Valley bring cybersecurity closer to companies in the region
They sign a collaboration agreement to train organizations in this area, which is key to Gipuzkoa's competitiveness.
ZIUR and the mutual guarantee company Goierri Valley have signed a collaboration agreement in Ordizia to bring cybersecurity closer to companies in this Guipuzcoan region. The Gipuzkoa Industrial Cybersecurity Center, a strategic project of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa framed in the 'Etorkizuna Eraikiz' strategy, will carry out training actions and raise awareness of the importance of this field among the organizations that belong to this association.
In this sense, the agreement contemplates the carrying out of workshops, pilot projects and workshops with the objective of validating technologies, methodologies and tools that can subsequently be extended to other industrial companies. Likewise, ZIUR will offer companies associated with Goierri Valley all the information on new initiatives, technological offers, regulations and legislation regarding cybersecurity.
The first training day took place today, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., in the NBF building of the Goierri Innovation Pole. The general director of ZIUR, María Penilla, and Iñaki Torrecilla, ICS security architect of the Foundation, have defined a security protocol in industrial cybersecurity so that Goierri companies are prepared against cyber threats.
In this way, ZIUR will continue to extend its objective of strengthening the territory's capabilities in the field of industrial cybersecurity, promoting the development of the technological sector and strengthening the competitiveness and international positioning of companies in Gipuzkoa.
