ZIUR and Women4Cyber will promote the role of women in cybersecurity
The growing demand for professionals in the cybersecurity sector has highlighted the need to train specialized talent and promote the presence of women in this field. In order to take a step forward in this direction, ZIUR (Industrial Cybersecurity Center of Gipuzkoa) and Women4Cyber Spain have signed a collaboration agreement to develop joint initiatives that promote the role of women in cybersecurity.
The collaboration agreement signed contemplates the joint performance of training, advice, research and knowledge dissemination activities. In this context, studies and research projects are planned in areas of common interest, mutual advice and the organization of activities that reinforce the objectives of both organizations.
The agreement was recently signed by Eduvigis Ortiz, president of Women4Cyber Spain, and Koldo Peciña, general director of ZIUR, within the framework of a conference organized in collaboration with Aspegi (Association of Professional Women, Entrepreneurs and Managers of Gipuzkoa) to raise awareness among businesswomen and directives on the impact of cybersecurity on their business.
W4C Spain
Women4Cyber Spain (W4C Spain) is an initiative created to promote gender diversity in the sector and make visible the role of women in cybersecurity in Spain. The association is the Spanish chapter of Women4Cyber.eu, founded by the European Cybersecurity Organization (ECSO).
Through different projects and initiatives, W4C Spain has become a collaborative space where women who work in cybersecurity both in the academic world and in research and industry can share knowledge and experiences. At the same time, it seeks to increase the positioning of women in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), especially in the field of cybersecurity, in order to have a more inclusive, diverse and participatory social and business ecosystem.
