Report of Digital Identity in the Industrial Field

This report aims to help entities in the industrial sector to adopt the necessary measures, in the event that they decide to work on corporate digital identity.

Digital identity includes all the information about an individual or a company exposed on the Internet (data, images, records, news, comments, etc.) that forms a description of the individual or the organization within the digital world.

Despite being a concept belonging to the digital field, it is much broader than it may seem, since its effects directly influence the physical world, affecting not only the person but also the organization to which they belong. Being a subjective concept that is built based on various sources of information, it may not correspond to the real image.

To manage the corporate digital identity in a secure way, the company's senior management must define a series of recommendations, which must be implemented and shared among employees, to reduce risks as much as possible.

This report aims to raise awareness about the importance of correct management of corporate digital identity, carrying out an analysis of the main associated risks, and a series of recommendations.
