ZIUR trains students from Easo Politeknikoa using a cyberattack simulator

A dozen students from the Donostialdea region have implemented incident response plans during gamified training

ZIUR hosted a dozen students from the Cybersecurity specialization program in Operational Technology environments at EASO Politeknikoa to provide them with training on effective incident response in OT environments, culminating in a gamified training session.

During the session held on December 12, Iñaki Torrecilla, ICS Security Architect at ZIUR, and Markel Gómez, cybersecurity analyst, shared key insights for effective cyber incident management with the students. The experts also presented the ZIUR laboratory, focusing on the laboratory's use cases and delving into tools and solutions for industrial elements.

Furthermore, the students were able to put their newly acquired knowledge into practice through a competition, where each team tested their skills in a simulated real-world cyberattack scenario. To achieve this, ZIUR used Kaspersky's KIPS board game, where young participants were able to gain a realistic understanding of what happens during a cyberattack on a water management plant, taking into account not only the security, but also the company's performance and revenue.
