The workshop is part of the Ikasiz collaborative project
ZIUR, the Industrial Cybersecurity Centre of Gipuzkoa, has given a technological surveillance workshop this morning to managers and IT managers of Urola Erdia companies, with the collaboration of the Iraurgi Berritzen Development and Innovation Agency. The objective of this cybersecurity session, part of the Ikasiz cooperative project, has been to openly debate cybersecurity strategies and criteria used by companies, as well as to increase awareness of the resources and investments necessary to guarantee the computer security of organisations.
The meeting, held at the Basazabal Palace in Azpeitia, was attended by ZIUR cybersecurity experts, Iñaki Torrecilla and Markel Gómez, who have presented to the dozen attendees the latest developments and current trends in the field of cybersecurity, as well as a forecast and projection for this year. In addition, they were able to learn about strategic criteria for making an optimal investment in cybersecurity, as well as key resources, investment priorities and types of outsourcing of IT and cybersecurity services.
To conclude the meeting, the companies shared experiences with the aim of putting the reality on the table in this area and making known the capacity of the IT departments and teams of the SMEs of Urola Erdia in this field. In addition, through a participatory dynamic, the priority lines of action in cybersecurity have been identified that this group of IT managers will work on in the next sessions.
This day is part of the Ikasiz program, which consists of an annual cycle of sessions that aim to promote the training of ICT managers of companies in the region, digitalization and new technologies through collective learning processes. To this end, work days are organized with experts and based on the exchange of experiences on topics prioritized by the working group. In this sense, each company also has the opportunity to implement a practical project.
