ZIUR partners with TKNIKA to train teachers in an industrial cybersecurity tool
The Foundation shares its resources with the academic world, in this case with the Errenteria vocational training center
ZIUR joined TKNIKA today, June 2, to offer an industrial cybersecurity session to assess the use of the Kaspersky Interactive Protection Simulation (KIPS) tool in vocational training (VT) centers during the next academic year. The Foundation wanted to share this resource with teachers so they can introduce this tool to their students in cybersecurity training courses for both IT and OT.
This board game makes it possible to measure and improve cybersecurity knowledge. This tool allows you to define and implement a strategy against attacks and security breaches in a simulation, while competing against different groups.
Iñaki Torrecilla, ICS Security Architect at ZIUR, and Markel Gómez, cybersecurity analyst at the Foundation, were responsible for demonstrating this tool to the faculty at this Errenteria center. A cyber incident at a water treatment plant was simulated, and the participants were tasked with implementing a cybersecurity strategy to maintain business continuity.
ZIUR's goal with these sessions is to contribute to the development of professional talent in cybersecurity, offering a broader vision of cybersecurity and sharing the reality of the region's industrial companies in this area.
