ZIUR presents the challenges of NIS2 to companies in Urola Erdia
The centre organised a session in Azpeitia together with Iraurgi Berritzen
ZIUR organised a new work session together with the Iraurgi Berritzen Development Agency called ‘NIS2: keys and tools for compliance with the new European cybersecurity directive’, in which it presented the obligations derived from the European Directive and a list of tools to facilitate its implementation, among other aspects, with the aim of raising awareness among the nearly twenty professionals attending about cyber and business risks in the event of non-compliance. The session, aimed at representatives of companies in the region, especially IT managers and managers, took place on the 7th at the Basazabal Palace in Azpeitia.
Begoña Beobide, representative of Iraurgi Berritzen, was in charge of welcoming the participants, while María Penilla and Iñaki Torrecilla from ZIUR addressed different aspects of the aforementioned Directive. The experts from the Gipuzkoa Industrial Cybersecurity Centre emphasised the application sectors, the fundamental concepts, the steps to follow, the obligations, the deadlines, and the breaches related to NIS2, and, finally, they shared recommendations, tools and projects to be implemented to adapt to the regulations.
Given the entry into force of the directive on 1 October, in addition to sharing experiences in the application of cybersecurity regulations, the working group made up of ICT managers were able to resolve doubts with the cybersecurity experts. At the end of the day, a debate was held, in which the strategies used so far were put on the table.
