ZIUR participates in the APD Talks Bilbao meeting on cloud computing
The meeting was exclusively aimed at management positions
ZIUR participated on December 11 in the APD Talks Bilbao meeting, organized by the APD Association in collaboration with Euskaltel, to talk about the advantages that cloud solutions bring to companies. The attendees, mostly in management positions, were able to learn about the different cloud services and the advantages of Cloud solutions close to companies, as well as the current demand for this solution, the importance of cybersecurity in the cloud, and the pros and cons of the private cloud and large public Clouds.
The evolution of cloud solutions has been key to the digitalization of Basque companies, and Cloud technology has undoubtedly opened up a wide range of possibilities. Today, the digital transformation of businesses cannot be contemplated without Cloud Computing, and cybersecurity in the cloud is a fundamental factor in any digital protection strategy for any business.
In this regard, the general manager of ZIUR, María Penilla, has participated in a round table with experts from Euskaltel, Cybertix and hsi Group to share their learnings and experiences in cybersecurity and cloud computing. Among other aspects, the professionals have discussed topics such as how companies measure the ROI of Cloud investments, what role organizational culture plays in the successful adoption of the Cloud, and how companies are approaching the adoption/management of a multi-Cloud environment.
During her speech, María Penilla has emphasized the aspects to take into account to implement a Cloud solution in a safe and effective way in companies. “A good Cloud strategy requires a continuous process of evaluation and improvement, it must always be closely linked to the business,” she explained. At the same time, she maintained that “to design a good Cloud strategy, you have to start with a good analysis of desired objectives, efficiency and cybersecurity risks.”
In addition to the round table, professionals were able to enjoy two presentations, one by the head of AI and Data at Euskaltel Empresas, Enrique Méndez, who explained the reasons for opting for a Cloud solution; and another by the CEO of Cybertix, Xabier Mitxelena, who spoke about the importance of prioritising Cloud Security.
