ZIUR Repeats as Sponsor of the 8th EuskalHack Security Congress
The event was attended by more than 200 industry professionals
The 8th edition of the EuskalHack Security Congress took place on June 20 and 21 in San Sebastián, with which ZIUR collaborated as a Silver sponsor. More than 200 cybersecurity professionals, students, and enthusiasts gathered for this event organized by the EuskalHack association, which seeks to promote the development of a digital security community and culture through the promotion and dissemination of primarily technical knowledge.
The industrial cybersecurity center collaborated with this event, promoted by the San Sebastián-based non-profit organization, seeking to strengthen the Gipuzkoa cybersecurity ecosystem and promote knowledge transfer among its stakeholders.
Likewise, ZIUR experts Iñaki Torrecilla and Markel Gómez were able to learn about the latest trends and technologies in cybersecurity and IT from a technical perspective at the Olarain Residence Hall. Among other topics, they enjoyed a presentation on the threat landscape and vulnerabilities presented by wireless industrial machinery control systems; and talks on current ransomware detection tools, browser permissions and Permission Hijacking, and tools used by cybercriminals.
This eighth edition featured around twenty national and international experts from organizations such as ESET Spain, Kaspersky, Telefónica Tech, Vicomtech, Accenture, the Public University of Navarra, and the National Cybersecurity Agency of Andorra, who offered their perspectives on ethical hacking during the two days of workshops and presentations.
It also included a dedicated area for sponsor stands, a fellowship luncheon, presentations, workshops, a hackathon, and the EuskalHack Cybersecurity Award initiative in recognition of individuals whose contributions to cybersecurity have been commendable. The EuskalHack association also celebrated its tenth anniversary at the end of the first day, open to those accredited to attend the conference.
