ZIUR offers its perspective on regulatory changes alongside international cybersecurity experts

ZIUR, the Gipuzkoa Industrial Cybersecurity Center, participated on May 28 in a technical workshop organized by the San Sebastian-based company Cibcom Technologies. Under the title "Is your company compliant or just seems to be? Challenges, regulations, and truths about cybersecurity (with real-life cases)," the meeting took place at the Jardines de Uleta Hotel in Vitoria-Gasteiz. It brought together a dozen representatives from leading companies such as Siemens, Kaspersky, FIASA, Elektra Group, and JakinCode.
This meeting featured real-life cases of companies that have already adapted to the new cybersecurity regulatory framework, and practical lessons learned and strategic approaches were presented. Experts have insisted that companies need to begin acting immediately and have warned that a firewall is no longer enough.
For his part, Iñaki Torrecilla, ICS Security Architect at ZIUR, discussed the most relevant changes linked to the new cybersecurity regulatory framework, such as NIS2, CRA, UNECE, and R155, and offered companies key insights for adapting to this new scenario.
Following him, Javier Pizarro, IT Manager at FIASA, presented a real-life transformation case, while David Pozo, Digital Enterprise Director and CEO of Process Automation at Siemens; Mateo de Madariaga, Sales Manager of OT/Io Security Solutions at Kaspersky; Joseba Zubeldia, Head of AMDT/Octoplant Business at Elektra Group; and Nerea Báez, General Manager of JakinCode, explained how they are helping their clients prepare for the new regulations.
Finally, Cibcom Technologies provided a high-quality networking space, where participants met with leading professionals in the sector.
