The "Security Gune 2025" meeting by HEGAN and Bullhost addressed key security aspects to contribute to improving the competitiveness of companies in the defense sector

ZIUR, the Gipuzkoa Industrial Cybersecurity Center, participated today in the "Security Gune 2025" meeting organized by HEGAN, the Aeronautics and Space Cluster, and Bullhost Cloud Services at the Zamudio Technology Park. The industrial cybersecurity event, aimed at companies in the defense sector, focused on sensitive topics such as cybersecurity directives, defense certifications, and customs regulations. The discussion focused on issues affecting competitiveness, access to different markets, and strengthening the supply chain.

In this regard, ZIUR Director María Penilla moderated a roundtable discussion on the European NIS2 directive, in which she detailed the implications and obligations of the regulation for HEGAN companies. Industry professionals focused on the importance of regulatory compliance and the need to strengthen supply chain security.

Specifically, the roundtable featured Alejandra Valle of the Oesía Group, Gorka Gonzalo of Bullhost Cloud Services, and Stefan Schuster of Tecnalia. These experts discussed practical measures that can be implemented to reduce operational risk and strengthen regulatory compliance. They addressed topics such as connected asset management (IT, OT, IoT, IoE), supply chain security and third-party assessment, and protection controls, among other aspects.

Other key topics covered during the session included the details of the scenario and the generalities of the EAR/ITAR regulations, security and ENS certifications, STIC Guides, and financing opportunities in digital transformation and cybersecurity (RETECH). To this end, experts from HEGAN's partner organizations, allies, and collaborators, such as Bullhost Cloud Services, Compitte Solutions, Deloitte, Grupo Oesía, Grupo SPRI, and Tecnalia, have participated, sharing experiences, best practices, and key tips for strengthening compliance and security in organizations.
