The sixth edition of Gipuzkoa IndustrySec 2026, the leading industrial cybersecurity event organized by ZIUR, Gipuzkoa's leading center for the field, will not ignore the variable that has most transformed the technological and business landscape in recent times: artificial intelligence. The Ficoba exhibition center in Irun will bring together a number of experts on October 28th to analyze the impact AI is having on industry and try to better understand a phenomenon that is key to the future but already shaping the present.
Raul Guillen, European Cybersecurity Strategist at TrendAI, a leading multinational in the design and development of cybersecurity solutions, will deliver the event's keynote address, titled "The AI Security Stack." In his presentation, he will analyze the different layers of protection necessary to ensure the safe use of artificial intelligence and address the new risks associated with this technology. "AI security is, to a large extent, a challenge of architecture, governance, and cybersecurity," Guillen states.
In addition, two roundtables with different industrial companies from the region will explore how this phenomenon is being implemented in their daily operations. Four companies will share how they are integrating AI into their manufacturing processes. Four others will explain how they are managing the cyber risks associated with using AI in their daily routines.
Finally, María Penilla, CEO of ZIUR, will analyze the challenges and opportunities that AI offers, emphasizing that the human factor is essential for its effective implementation. “AI is redefining corporate cybersecurity, but the gap between AI vendors' marketing and the actual capabilities of AI systems is generating frustration among security teams. AI does not detect, block, and neutralize cyberattacks 100% autonomously; it still requires oversight from expert analysts,” says Penilla.
